Heather Afriyie
Heather Akua Owusua Afriyie is a vibrant and outgoing young woman from Chicago, IL. As the oldest of four children, she has always striven to be an enriching role model. Holding a Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Illinois-Chicago, Heather has always had a strong desire to improve the healthcare infrastructure in Ghana by working closely with non-governmental organizations and politicians. During her run for Miss Ghana USA 2018, she ran on the platform entitled “Healthcare and Education: Our God Given Right” which focused on the lack of access to healthcare facilities and educational resources for women and children living in rural communities of Ghana. In her free time, Heather loves to mentor the youth, dance, cook, and travel. Her goals are to use her gifts to make a difference.
