THE CECIYAA FOUNDATION
The mission of the Ceciyaa Foundation is to create a nurturing, stable, and healthy family environment which encourages and empowers women to initiate, attain and master the personal and social changes which are necessary to help fight ignorance, hunger, sickness and disease, in order to become effective contributing participants in the progressive development of their communities. The foundation values the expansion of opportunities and the enhancement of quality of life for the women and children of Ghana and seeks to empower these women and their families to initiate those necessary changes.
RAISING HOPE
Raising H.O.P.E~ Raising Hopeful Orphans Pursuing Excellence serves as a non-profit charity organization developed to address the needs of orphans, less fortunate children, and children with special needs in the continent of Africa and within the African Diaspora. Raising H.O.P.E. aims to ensure that the basic survival, health and educational needs of African children are met and that all beneficiaries of Raising H.O.P.E. are closer to integrating into their communities, becoming productive members of society, and living life to its maximium potential.
BEYOND AID
The Beyond Aid Project is a nonprofit organization in Accra, Ghana with field operations in the Eastern, Central, Greater Accra, Ashanti and Volta Regions. The focus is to be a catalyst in the poverty reduction process in Ghana and the sub region through an integrated, bottom-up approach to development in partnership with all the stakeholders – establishing a symbiotic relationship to create value.
The Beyond Aid Project is committed to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities by creating solutions that build capacity for long-lasting success. They promote increased self-reliance, employment and income generation, access to resource and economic opportunities for grass roots communities.
COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children is a network of 951 community-based programs that recruit, train and support citizen-volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in courtrooms and communities. Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care. Volunteers stay with children until they are placed in loving permanent homes. For many abused children, a CASA volunteer is the only constant adult presence in their lives.
